Singapore became only the third team to reach the Grand Final of a WSDC it hosted, and the first to win, beating Canada 8-1 when proposing the motion “THBT governments should provide a guaranteed universal basic income”. Congratulations to Arthur Lee, Samuel Loh, Chong Ee Hsiun, Bryan Yan and Ernest Goh – the new world champions – and to everyone involved in hosting and organising a fantastic tournament!
